Who we are
Hello & welcome to The Elsewhere.
I’m Phoebe. My interest in massage began more than ten years ago, when I took an introductory course in full-body and Indian Head Massage. Even at that early stage I knew I wanted to build a practice one day, but I also knew I wasn’t in a rush. I wanted time to gain experience in other areas of life and work, to understand people well, and to develop the maturity and steadiness that I felt this kind of work deserved.
Over the years I’ve worked in roles centred around listening, support, and clear communication, experiences that now shape my approach as a qualified practitioner in Holistic Massage (ITEC) and Reiki (Level 1 & 2).
Inclusivity and safety are core values in my practice. I aim to create a space where people feel respected, welcome, and able to show up exactly as they are. I will be undertaking trauma-informed body-work training in 2026, but this has been a long-standing area of interest for me, and I already work with a strong awareness of how diverse people’s needs and experiences can be.
Like many people, I’ve had my own challenges with wellbeing - massage and Reiki have played a real part in supporting me through them. That personal experience helps me stay grounded, practical, and present with the people I work with. I also know how special and valuable each session is.
Why The Elsewhere?
It’s not a physical place, but somewhere you can choose to land in when you allow yourself to rest. That’s what I always aim to create - a place of comfort, safety and true relaxation, even if it’s just for an hour in your day.
I hope to see you soon!
